Zone System Presets Pack

Black & White — for Lightroom

$25 USD

YOU'VE BEEN EDITING IN LIGHTROOM FOR A WHILE.

THE RESULTS DON'T LOOK LIKE WHAT YOU SEE IN YOUR HEAD.

You apply a preset. It looks okay. You tweak it. It still doesn't feel like film.

It doesn't feel like anything in particular — it just feels edited.

The problem isn't your images. It's that most presets are built to look good, not to work like something. They give you a result, not a process.

This pack works differently.

TWO BASE PRESETS. ONE SYSTEM.

Zone I and Zone V

— both black and white, both built around my real experience shooting and developing Ilford HP5. These are your foundation. From there, you build the edit the way you'd build an image in the darkroom: one decision at a time.

400 and 3200 speed. Four variations. The difference between a frame that breathes and one that just sits there.

GRAIN

35mm and 120 film grain simulation

Plus a reset option if you want to pull it back. More contrast, more weight, more presence.

push

Simulates pushing film in development. +1, +2, +3

That soft, slightly imperfect quality that makes people ask what you shot on.

film look

Pulls the image away from pure digital

Three variations. The underexposed, editorial look — the one that makes a reception feel like a film still.

moody shadow

Lifts the blacks out of the shadows completely

Clean foundation every time.

LENS CORRECTION

Distortion correction baked in

DIFFERENT DECISIONS

What changes is the combination of modifiers — and the intention behind each one.

Every image below starts from the same file
